The AppEngine-MapReduce is an open-source library for doing MapReduce-style computations on the Google App Engine platform (
http://mapreduce.appspot.com/). As of today, it contains a mapper implementation that provides a fast and efficient way to iterate over datastore entities and blob files. In the future, it will expand to provide full MapReduce support, including the shuffle and reduce stages.
Agenda:
- 6:30pm: Food & Networking
- 7:00pm: Mike Aizatsky (App Engine team): will talk about the Mapper APIs and give an overview (to be confirmed)
- 7:45pm: Waleed: Using mapper APIs to scan datastore data to generate reports that are otherwise cannot be done with GQL.
- 8:15pm: Demos.
